No matter how sick, tired, or drugged up you are, be careful when reaching past the kettle ... evidently, that metal spout where the steam comes out is hot when the kettle is on a burner on high.
This might be a lesson I'll remember for a while ... if the oval shaped brand on my pinky reminds me, of course.
